Everyone has to start somewhere – and most likely it was a Learn to Curl program. We're honoured you want to try one of the greatest winter sports with us!
Alliston Curling Club is committed to growing the fantastic sport of curling through our Learn to Curl programs. Come join us this winter—where friendship is a tradition.
Step 1
Free curling introduction
Tour our facilities, learn about our programs, step onto the ice, and try throwing a few rocks. No experience necessary.
When:
- Saturday, September 30, 7–9 pm (Family/Youth)
- Tuesday, October 1, 7–9 pm (Everyone Welcome)
- Wednesday, October 2, 1–3 pm (Everyone Welcome)
What to bring:
- Clean running shoes (required)
- Loose/stretchy pants with warm layers
- Gloves suggested
- Helmets mandatory for ages under 12; recommended for new curlers
What's included:
Club provides curling equipment (sliders, broom).

Novice clinic
3 nights of certified coaching for new curlers. Prepares you to play in our leagues starting October 13.
When:
October 5, 6, and 8, 7–9 pm

Register for Novice ClinicStep 3
Adult learn to curl (ALTC) – $125
6-week certified coaching program for adults 18+ to learn curling at a relaxed pace.
When:
Sundays, 3–5 pm, October 25 – December 6 (6 sessions)
What you'll learn:
- On and off-ice instruction from accredited coaches
- Curling fundamentals and rules
- Short games and match play
- Meet new people and socialize
Bonus:
Includes a $100 credit toward second-half season membership if you want to join our league.
